Snowboarding Gear Manufacturers

Burton Snowboards
Burton Snowboards, founded by Jake Burton Carpenter in 1977, is a snowboard manufacturer that has grown to become one of the leaders in its market. Burton, arguably, manufactures the best, and most technically sophisticated, snowboarding gear on the planet. With a product line that encompasses all the essential elements of snowboarding (hard goods, outerwear, accessories), Jake Burton has created a definition of what it is to be a snowboarder.

Ride Snowboards
Founded in Redmond, Wa. in late 1992, Ride hit the market with only four board models and a vision - to create a snowboard company "for the people" built upon technical innovation, superior quality and "selling the dream." With a team of top pro and up-and-coming riders, a strong product line, a zealous ad campaign and quite a bit of hard work, the first few years were a success. Today, Ride's line has evolved into a far more technical outerwear line, providing a phenomenal fusion of street fashion and snowboard function known today as Ride Snowboards Outerwear. The Cappel series has since made its triumphant return in the 05/06 collection of Ride Outerwear.

K2 Sports
K2 Inc. was founded in 1961 by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner in Vashon Island, near Seattle, Washington. K2 is known for pioneering fiberglass ski technology, which made skis significantly lighter and more lively than their wood and metal contemporaries. On June 22, 2007, K2 announced it was moving its business office from Vashon Island to Seattle's Industrial District. K2 has since expanded and acquired many companies and lines, including: K2 Lines (K2 Skis, K2 Skates, K2 Bikes, K2 Licensed Products, K2 Snowboards), Marine and Outdoor, Team sports, Action Sports, Footwear and Apparel.

Völkl
Völkl Snowboards, specifically the Squad Series have evolved into some of the lightest, most innovative snowboards ever. The series includes the Squad Prime, the Squad and the Jibster. Highlight for the season is the Squad Jibster, designed primarily for terrain park riders, featuring a revolutionary convex base design. The edges ride slightly higher then the base material, providing smooth rail riding, easy butters, and confident landings. Unlike other rail-specific boards, the Jibster rides great outside the park.
